Mediation and Coexistence
Mediation is the intervention of a neutral third party that helps opposing parties manage or solve their dispute or difficulty.
Mediation is an alternative to violence or litigation, a process by which participants, with the assistance of a neutral and impartial participant or participants, systematically isolate the issues in dispute with the aim of finding options, considering alternatives, and reaching a a mutual agreement that fits their needs.
The mediators do not force or impose the resolution. Instead, they enable the disputants to reach their own agreement on how to resolve the conflict, facilitating face-to-face discussion, dealing with the problem, and developing alternative solutions.
The Mediation and Coexistence Service aims to promote good relationships between the people who make up the educational community and to optimize relationships by facilitating a space for dialogue and listening to manage the coexistence difficulties that arise in the daily life of the centre.
We offer an instrument that promotes the culture of peace, communication and non-violence, an optimal space for dialogue where people have the opportunity to express their difficulties of coexistence or their discomfort in the centre.
